| About Us The Charting the Course Post Adoption Program has been designed to provide counseling, education and support for adoptive families. This program is specifically designed to provide support through all phases of the child's growing years with the understanding that adoption is a lifelong process. Our main objectives with the Charting the Course Adoption Program include: > Providing therapy services for children who have experienced loss, abuse, moves and the emotional and mental health issues that lead to problem behaviors and attachment issues. > To educate families in order to prevent inset of crises, reduce power struggles and maintain the family unit. > To support families throughout their development phases and related adoption issues. > To assist adoptive families in understanding the feelings and behaviors of adopted youth. > To provide extensive parent guidance to adoptive families in times of stress.  |
